Xoxocotlan, Oaxaca

This is the construction of a wall that will surround the yet to be built party hall. When roofed it will be rented out for small to medium size fiestas, this tall roof (separate from the Cob wall) will eventually cover 50% of the land.

so far there is 60 meters (180 feet) of tire wall, 100 used tires per layer, 4 layers. Tires are filled from onsite dirt/rubble. The Cob on top of the tires are starting at a 50 cm thickness and is tapering upward. I have bought 7 dump trucks, 12 m3, of local clay/dirt soil so far and plan on using 2 more at least. Mixed with local wheat straw, 30 bales so far!
